Christmas Vintage Bus Ride
Thanks to Awayadays you can enjoy a FREE ride around Norwich this December on a beautifully restored vintage Routemaster bus. Take a break from Christmas shopping and enjoy the sights and sounds of the festive season in our wonderful mediaeval city.
The drivers and conductors will be all decked out for Christmas and ready to welcome you aboard the iconic 1965 vintage London Transport Routemaster bus, spreading festive cheer and collecting donations for Big C at the same time. The Awayadays team are all bus enthusiasts who have generously offered their time free – for the fourth year, alongside Routemaster operator, David McMaster – in order to help raise funds for Norfolk & Waveney’s Cancer Charity.
The brilliant red Routemaster will also be joined by one of a pool of privately preserved former Eastern Counties vehicles so there will be two buses operating the route.
Trips will be available from 20th – 24th December with 4 different stops around the city…
Castle Meadow – every 30 minutes between 10.30 and 15.30
St Stephens Street – every 30 minutes between 10.33 and 15.33
City Hall – every 30 minutes between 10.40 and 15.40
Norwich Rail Station – every 30 minutes between 10.50 and 15.50
There is no need to book and the ride is free but a donation of your choice to Big C is encouraged.
