Riding is the answer
After a great start to the race, and finding a good pace that would have gotten us to the finishing line in time,
I’m sad to say that this morning we needed to stop racing.
Due to me getting a very severe stomach illness, which we think came from a spring that l drank from.
Firstly, l would like to thank my team mate Adam Aldum for showing strength and determination, borderline to stubbornness - enough for both of us to get to the end.
And even when he could of carried on the race, he’s still here sorting out the trip home with me.
Secondly, thank you all so much for the charity support you all have provided.
It’s an amazing amount of money, for the big c and the mental health charity.
Thank you all again, and I’m sorry l wasn’t able to make it to the end.
What I’m doing:
On the 29th of June 2019 @ 2200. My good friend Adam and I will be racing across the Pyrenees in an ultra endurance cycle race.
We will be following an official track from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic coast climbing some of the most mythical and challenging Cols of The Pyrenees such as Pailheres, Peyresourde, Tourmalet, Aubisque or Larrau
The race has a total of 30 cols and is a total of 950km with 24000m of climbing. We have a total of 6 days to complete the race distance.
Why I’m fundraising:
We are doing this to try and make people aware of the charities we both support.
My is the obviously The Big C and my good friend Adam is for mental health.
