Local jeweller’s bespoke creation for Norfolk cancer charity

Next Friday finally sees the evening of Norfolk cancer charity, Big C’s Norfolk Show Ball 2018. On the night, a game of ‘Heads and Tails’ which is sponsored by Sonkai will leave those lucky guests who receive a dark pearl with a chance to win a special pair of bespoke earrings.

Inspired by the iconic 1920s, we've tried to create earrings that are very wearable today

Designed and created by small family-run Norwich jeweller, Sonkai, the bespoke set of platinum, diamond and pearl earrings are inspired by the glamorous 1920s event theme, making them a very special prize. Situated in the Norwich Lanes, Sonkai is a part working design studio and workshop and part boutique shop, selling and creating bespoke and contemporary jewellery.

Sonkai managing director Sara Sweet, who started the business in 2006 with Craig Snape, said: “We are delighted to support Big C at their Norfolk Show Ball. The 1920s is a wonderfully atmospheric era with iconic design which we have used to inspire our earrings, while creating a set of jewellery that is very wearable today.”

In response, Dr Chris Bushby, Chief Executive at Big C said: “A grateful thanks to the Sonkai team for their support and this very special set of earrings which will make a unique prize for the ball. We’re sure everyone will want to get involved for the chance to win them and in turn raise essential funds for those in our community affected by cancer.”

The Big C Norfolk Show Ball is to be held at the Norfolk Showground on June 22. Tickets are still available and include a drinks reception on the lawn, four course dinner, charity auction and prize raffle.
