New Swaffham Shop
A new Big C Charity Shop in Swaffham market place will be officially opened at 10am on Saturday 3rd February, by the town’s mayor Jill Skinner.
We are starting February just like we started January by announcing that a new Big C Charity Shop in Swaffham market place will be officially opened at 10am on Saturday 3rd February, by the town’s mayor Jill Skinner!
Karl Chilvers manager of the new shop said, “As a local charity, we are really looking forward to joining the Swaffham community. The support of local people is so valuable in the work we do to help those affected by cancer throughout Norfolk and Waveney.”
Local residents and anyone interested in volunteering opportunities supporting the shop managers, are invited to our preview evening from 3pm to 6pm on Friday 2nd February to meet our Swaffham team at the new store. Duties include sorting stock and helping on the tills.
Dr Chris Bushby, CEO of Big C says, “Our shops provide an integral part of our charitable income. On average 20 people are given a cancer diagnosis every day in Norfolk and Waveney and the need for our services are increasing daily. Customers supporting our new Swaffham shop will be directly helping us to continue helping to fund pioneering research programmes and fund cancer fighting equipment, as well as our four support and information centres, one of which is located at Kings Lynn.”
If you are having a new year de-clutter at home, we would love to receive items including good quality clothing, shoes and accessories, household objects, decorative accessories, books, CDs and bric-a-brac.
